The British Virgin Islands Ports Authority is seeking mature, and highly motivated persons to join our Team in the capacity of Dispatcher; bilingual applicants are welcome to apply.
The successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Providing information and dispatch services to arriving passengers as required.
- Communicating with taxi personnel to arrange for passengers to be dispatched quickly.
- Coordinating with taxi personnel those passengers with pre-arranged transportation
- Ensuring vigilance regarding passenger safety during the loading and off-loading of taxis.
- Ensuring that the line system that is currently in place for taxi dispatching is adhered to
- Ensuring that you meet and greet all guests, taxi men, employees, and other patrons of the Port with respect
- Ensuring that any issues arising with the dispatch of passengers are resolved in a quick and amicable manner
- Registering all complaints/issues with the Security Supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
MUST have a High School Diploma or equivalent
MUST have Three years’ experience working in a customer service role
SALARY:
Remuneration/ Benefits: Based on qualifications and experience.
