15 June 2022- The British Virgin Islands Ports Authority (BVIPA) would like to inform the public that the wearing of face masks/coverings will still be required in indoor public spaces when visiting our facilities.
On the 13th June 2022, the Minister for Health and Social Development, Honourable Marlon A. Penn issued a statement on the Cabinet decision on the removal of the legal requirement for the wearing of face masks/coverings in public places that would come into effect on 15th June 2022. In that statement it was also noted that public and private organisations would be allowed to set their own policies on face masks/coverings. As such and keeping in accordance with the mask policy instituted by the public service in a circular issued by the Deputy Governor, David D. Archer, Jr. on 14th June 2022, the BVI Ports Authority will require its frontline workers and visitors to wear face masks/coverings when in an indoor public space at all BVIPA offices and facilities.
